Hey you, welcome to my gallery. My illustrations are primarily dedicated to telling stories, but you'll also find fanart, commission work, and other craps. Feel free to share my art with others, as long as you...
1. Cite the source. ALWAYS cite your sources.
2. Do not claim authorship of anything you use.
3. DO NOT let me catch you selling my art.

Thanks for stopping by, now scram.

Okay.

Hi.

I'm here again and want to get everyone up to speed on things! Okay that sounds way to formal. I'm sorry I've been out of touch, I think I mentioned being in a difficult position before falling off the radar.  I had no tablet, the only in I had on a potential for published work was fizzling out of existence (and pretty much has at this point), but the worst was the prognosis for my mom.  I've been making regular trips to NJ to help take care of her while on chemotherapy, which initially went horribly awry. We spent a lot of time in the hospital.

Around the time she recovered from treatment #1 I went with I a writer I'd met on the previously mentioned anthology (which may never see the light of day) to a comics convention in NY called special edition. We went to do some networking and get some exposure for a comic we've been working on called Sweetie and we had some amazing feedback. A few indie publishers and some people from image had some very nice things to say to us about our first few pages, but the highlight was hearing it from Joe Kelly, the writer behind one of my favorite graphic novels: I Kill Giants.  Side note, I hate the city but it looks like I'll be heading back in the near future.

Treatment #2 went a lot better.  Obviously nothing goes swimmingly with chemotherapy, but the period of sickness was much shorter and preemptive measures were taken to prevent malnutrition and dehydration.  Since then I managed to obtain a pro pass for NY Comic Con, pick up two more paid comic drawing gigs, and have my tablet back in my possession (though I almost drove through a thunderstorm and a tornado to get it. Yeah forget that story).

At this point, here is what I'm looking at: I'm moving back to NJ to help out my family a little more as mom's treatment continues.  While I pick up work and help out my family, I will be drawing my ass off and try to get as many comics published as possible, which I will tell you all about in the near future.  Fireworks, unfortunately, may be seeing it's last days... in it's current form.  I'm considering a hard-copy publishing of the series, which pulls directly from the story-line you are all familiar with. We'll see about that one, but what I'm really excited about is the unveiling of Sweetie and having hard-copy publications at NYCC.  A website and store is also in the works, and I'll be posting previews as soon as I can.  There's really a lot of stuff going on and I don't want to overload you all, but I'm finally starting to see the effort I've put into my drawing amount to something.  I don't want to get my hopes too high, but I think in spite of my relocation we can hope to see some of my work published for real in the near future.  I'll be in touch, and if you've read this far then kudos, I'll remember you when I'm... well we'll see.

Thanks for reading, sorry for the wordvomit.

Fireworks [For the End of the World]

The Story: Walker and Matt are college freshmen and wannabe game-designers who can't catch a break... on anything. Their losing streak may change when a bizarre encounter with "the Fireworks"
turns them into earth's new demigods . Wouldn't you know it though?  Super powers and irresponsible young adults are a terrible mix! Mayhem abounds as these two and their group of mischief makers use their wit and new-found powers to make the best... of the end of the world.

Fireworks For The End Of The World is my copy written property, you may share these pages so long as you provide reference to the material.

Before the Begining by BatArchaic
Before the Begining
In light of recent events causing a deficit in artistic submissions, here is a piece from a couple months back I did strictly in photoshop.  Its a piece I did for my writing professors poem: Before the Beginning.

You can listen to the audio and read the poem here: www.hootreview.com/onlineissue…

Before the Beginning
by Rebecca Lauren

My world was made on a rainy day
but no one cared, least of all me
least of all my galoshes.

On a riverbank, Daddy sings The corn is as high
as an elephant’s eye and I believe him because

elephants were born here too.
They come out at night, make
footprints that fill into lakes.

My mother says, Stay away from the mud.
Keep your soles clean.

Heeey everyone!

Sorry I forgot to make this announcement on Sunday. Obviously there are no pages of Fireworks this week... well here's the thing. You already know I've been crazy busy with some secret comic projects I never talk about and how stuff with my family isn't great right now.  To make a long story short, my cintiq's power supply crapped out on Friday and I need to send it in for repairs.  Great timing you little fucker *throws tablet*.  My mother has also started chemo, and as some of you know I'll be taking care of her most of the week.  Day 1 has already been really rough and its a long road ahead and well. Yeah. I'm going to try and get my tablet and Fireworks up and running again as soon as possible.  I'll also be trying not to rip out anyone's throat out too haha.  All the best folks, thanks for bearing with me.

Bat,
Out
